does anyone know a good guide or basic text or scientific paper on the procedure of a product carbon footprint (PCF)?
This would be very helpful.

That was part of the vision of my previous startup. It didn't work out for unrelated circumstances. We designed and planned a system to allow consumers to scan a barcode and get the carbon footprint of a product.
